Thanks. Installer couldnt come out for another 6 weeks so called a plumber.

The noise the taps were making was unbearable. Sounded like a screaming donkey and the taps and sink started heavily vibrating when you turned them on.

Was at its loudest when the toilet was flushed. Hot leaky kitchen tap would gush out when using the bathroom hot tap. He fixed the leaks, replaced the kitchen taps and said that getting boiler changed can affect the pressure. That part all sorted now.

He was a bit puzzled by the smell but said it could be down to the water temperature being too high so turned it down slightly but the cloudiness remains. It doesn't clear like you mentioned. He said best to let it settle for a few weeks and it should improve.
Once it's been flushed out (and assuming the incoming supply is ok, as you say it is based on your testing of the cold water) then I can't see it being an issue with a the boiler.

Confused by this statement. The water supply is fine. So how can it not be a boiler issue? Theres no other culprit.

But yeah, I'm in the UK. I'll check out that link. Thanks
