Pop up box on search

Only just started but when I use search box in W10 I get pop up- showing recent history etc.No idea how to stop/remove. Suggestions please.

Go into "Manage History" and you should be able to do what it says on the tin - manage the history

OK. It's a Microsoft timeline.
Have cleared and stopped history recording.
However I have failed to remove actual timeline as none of the googled solutions work.
Have never had a Microsoft account.0 -
You don't need a Microsoft Account.
You can turn off Timeline here:

That just disables the timeline. and leaves the box there.
I want to remove the timeline and box completely.0 -

yeah, of course not using Edge will stop the information appearing on the search box.
Firefox, Chrome and other browsers are available, all free downloads, none of which populate the Recent History.0 -
