PPI, bankruptcy and car finance

I've tried to reclaim PPI previously but as I was declared bankrupt in 2010 I was informed by the banks that I could not reclaim this.
Is this correct?
Also I had car finance with Minu which was not included in my bankruptcy as I paid it off beforehand and BMW finance have said I need to reclaim through the dealership but this is no longer open.
Does anyone have any tips/advice?
Thanks

Any refund of PPI of any sort, pre-bankruptcy is the property of the OR, the banks were correct, when you go bankrupt you lose the right to complain
Also yes if you bought a PPI policy through the dealership, you complain to them, nothing to do with BMWSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Yes, any and all PPI redress belongs to the Official Receiver for redistribution to your former creditors. Any attempt by you to complain about PPI from before your bankruptcy is actually unlawful.Rachelcowell82 wrote: »Does anyone have any tips/advice?
