Servicing Stop rip off garages as well as customers!

Options
I am writing this to warn customers as well as garages about Servicing Stop!
Servicing Stop currently owe my business over £7,000. After numerous unanswered calls and emails we decided to use the help of debt collectors. Emails, calls and visits from the debt collectors still hasn’t made them pay up! I would advise any garage not to work for these cowboys!
As for customers the servicing and MOTs may be cheap but they will try and sell you unnecessary work to bump up their prices and earn their bonuses! They often use scare tactics to make sure these customers pay for additional things!
I would advise anyone to call round your local garages! You will no doubt find that they can offer servicing at a very reasonable price and will be much more trustworthy! Many will even offer the same collection/delivery service too!

No honour amongst thieves. Garages know full well what servicing stop do. How they get you to do work that the car does not need.

Don't pretend to be the victim here, you are equally responsible for the scam.

So it was OK when the customers were being ripped off, but not OK if they fail to pay you?

I don't know any reputable garages who use servicing stop.

Have the debt collectors advised on taking Servicing Stop to court?
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

Time you read the Garage Provider Report, submitted by the Independent Garages Association.

Worth sending around to your fellow garage owners, unless they’re members with the RMI. I believe they send them out to every member to give a very concise heads up.

Have you issued a winding up order against them over the unpaid debt yet? That usually gets the attention if you're bored of playing nice.

I would also say that page 67 lends itself nicely :rotfl:
  • We were in the same boat with unpaid bills of nearly £4K. After 7 months of process and a bogus defence on their part we managed to obtain a CCJ in our favour against Servicing Stop. The claim was uncontested with no defence submitted and no show from them (Craig Whitbread Operations Director).
They now have 14 days to pay and a tarnished credit scoring.

When a CCJ is issued, the person or company it is awarded against normally has up to 30 days from the date of judgement to pay it off.
If it is paid within this timescale then it doesn't get entered onto their credit record.
  • Dodgy garages get ripped off by dodgy garage service outfit. Shocker.
