    I'd reiterate my recommendation from post #9 above - make a formal section 75 claim against Omni and if they reject it, then escalate to the Financial Ombudsman Service (regardless of Omni asserting that you can't do so).

    Have Omni actually given any indication of why they contend that the loan is unregulated and that s75 doesn't apply?

    I was under the impression that finance that's attached to goods/service, such as a car (as that's more common), did afford S75 protection. You could always got to FOS and check.
