Credit Score help - Active Credit Accounts??

Hi, looking for some help. Sorry if this question has already been asked.
I singed up to Experian to see what my credit accounts look like, and it only shows one, which was from 3 years ago, which is now closed. However my current phone contract does not show as an active account. Also, I had been paying electricity (npower) and line rental (sky) bills via direct debit for over a year now, which i presumed would contribute to a good score but do not show up.
It also tells me I'm not registered on the electoral roll, even though i registered when i moved into my flat a year ago. could it be that it still has me linked to an old address?
Do only some direct debits show up, or is it to do with how i pay them?
Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to the forum
Have you checked the data held by all three CRAs, or only with Experian?
Also, I don't think all utility and phone companies report to the CRAs.
You are confused if you think direct debits will show on your credit files.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

Sky and N-Power don’t report to CRA’s.
Direct Debits and savings and account balances etc. are not shown unless you’re in an overdraft.
Who is your phone contract with?
It’s no pay as you go is it?
Also pay no attention to the score or any intentions of improving it - it’s not something seen or used be lenders.0 -
Please say it's the free one you are using.

I thought n-power did - at least, they used to. Sky definitely used not to, but I don't know now.0 -
N-power reports to experian0

Sky definitely do not report TV subscription to any CRA0

Npower reports to Experian. I’ve just found this out as was one of factors in being turned down for a debt consolidation remortgage - I hadn’t disclosed the npower debt- it hadn’t even occurred to me to mention it as thought we were just talking overdrafts and credit cards but bank said any utilities debit should have been disclosed.
Anyway I’m on a plan with npower to pay off the excess amount - was approx 1029 last month and in my credit report. - today I checked and I now owe 880 so great - in right direction. However I checked my credit report, it was updated today and says I now owe 1050 ie it actually makes me look as if I am going further into debt rather than tackling it.
Spent an hour on phone to npower and got nowhere but discovered that:
-about a year ago there was apparently message put out to their staff to remember to tell folk that if they make an ‘arrangement to pay’ outstanding bills then this will show on their credit file
- the reasons the payment is higher is that although dated 23 rd June 201@ (!) they only submit the balance from about a month ago.
This seems nuts and doesn’t seem in keeping with treating customers in energy debt fairly ..

It’s fair.
You owe them money.
They’re reporting it.
Now is it not fair?0 -

If your credit history is shorter than 3 years, only MSE credit club/experian can be used. All the "free" one do not provide access to your score unless you have at least 3 years of credit history.Your cholesterol levels are not seen, or used, by your heart and arteries, so ignore it.
