Due some money but it's getting sent to a closed account

I completed a paid study where I get £70 for participating. I gave them my bank details, however I've recently used that bank account (First Direct).

I've emailed them asking if payment is coming as I've not had anything yet and they've said:

" The payment has been submitted so should be with you imminently. To confirm these are you bank details ..... "

Will it still come through if I've changed bank accounts?

If you've used the CASS then yes - otherwise no

No i closed it rather than switched. Thanks for the help

If they send it to a closed account (no cass) then it will bounce back to them usually
