Just dropping in to update the diary ... my aspirations for posting more regularly have not come to fruition
I hope everyone is okay and staying safe.
Our house is now on the market with 12 viewings booked for next week (fingers crossed), we're going to book a second viewing on a home that we saw yesterday (I was mentally moving furniture in). It's interesting to hear that OH and I seem to be thinking the same thing (as we're going into houses separately while the other stays in the car with the kiddies). We are going to explore the area a little more next week and hopefully do a second viewing at the same time.
Money wise we're doing okay, no substantial mortgage OP's at the minute as we're saving for moving costs and getting emergency fund back up and running after the car purchase.
Money aims for November;
1. Add to xmas 2020 pot (£51.75 needed), 60% of gifts already bought in sales.
2. OP mortgage by at least £10 - £4 moved this morning which was left from last months budget.
3. Earn money for new clothes (I've been putting off buying new clothes due to being at end of pregnancy/post baby body, but It's getting bad now, so I need to invest in some new bits and pieces.2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)2 -

So, we're heading back into lockdown
. We're not sure how that bodes for the house move and whether people can still view (given that we're not in the house when they happen), the estate agents are just waiting for gov guidance.
We had 11 viewings booked for last week (1 cancelled) of that 3 were no shows, one said it was too small for what they were looking for, which is fair enough; 3 said they wanted to offer (but never heard from again) and the others were uncontactable was the feedback from the agents.
We've found a house we love but are going to hold off on an offer for now as we need to get ours at least under offer. 5 viewings this week (non of them second viewings and all before lockdown), so fingers crossed.

Day 1 of lockdown 2.0 (as it's being called
). We're forunate that OH is still working from home, and there is now talk of this being the case until Spring 2021, which even then is a tentative date. It will be interesting to see how the future of work changes after this year as so many companies have had to change and adapt to survive.
Anyway, before we wander into the realm of politics, I'll move over to whats going on with our householdSo, our mortgage has just dipped under £41k, which we are pleased with given that we have put any bigger OP's on hold. We were up to 6 viewings for yesterday, but have not yet had feedback from agents (still early).
Currently on budget with spending, I have had to review and change some categories, but staying in the positive.2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)3 -
Good Evening,
I'm back on the moneysaving band wagon to keep us on track for this month. I have been rounding down the current account for mortgage OP's (only a few pennies here and there) I need to add up how much I've sent so far and see how much is left for me to hit this months £10 OP target.
I have requested a free dishwasher tablet samples, ordered a free moonpig card (email offer, had to pay 72p delivery, will use for OH birthday), stayed under my £30 grocery shop budget today
Things to do;
- Plan remaining xmas gifts and buy so can distribute earlier this year (you never know what's going to happen with lockdowns etc).
- Keep on top of jobs as more viewings booked for this week.2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)1 -

I can't believe 13 days have passed since I last posted ... time just seems to be running away with me
No more viewings since last week, I think people seem to be settling in for xmas now given the amount of decs that have been appearing in the last week. We have had someone register interest, but as they have not yet been financially qualified we're holding off getting excited about the offer.
We're almost ready for Xmas, just need to wrap and distribute - only need to sort 3 presents and then we're done. This week is very much looking at additional income again now that we're settling into a routine with 3 kiddies. I have some bits to list on ebay/shpock, surveys and comping.
I do need a new coat as the one I managed to repair when it last ripped, has now ripped in an area that is difficult to repair successfully. I will give it a whirl to keep me warm until I find a new one I like, but it is not going to last much longer but as I have had 2 years out of it so not too bad for £35
Additional income target for this week is £2 a day (Then if I manage this consistently, i'll up my target).

Seriously, where is time going??? I log off and before I know it weeks have passed!
House sale is plodding on, more viewings this week, about 8, we will await feedback from agents. We did have an offer, but the chap was being a chancer and put in a silly offer. I'm just seeing it as an opportunity to keep banking cash.
Xmas shopping is now finished (except food shop), and I have started to wrap and distribute as and when I see people as we won't be having any family get togethers this year
My main goals for December are;
1. Earn £2 per day ... a bit hit and miss on the daily target so far, but I have hit, and exceeded, both weekly targetsI will continue with ebay listings today and get two sales packaged and ready to send tomorrow.
2. Get day to day spending under control. I'm letting too much money be spent on silly, frivolous things. So today I will meal plan for the week ahead and write a list of things that we NEED.
