Xbox One S - Promotional Terms and Conditions

Register with your email address on argos.co.uk to be in with the chance of redeeming a personalised Xbox One S for the price of £3. Customers who can redeem this offer will be chosen at random from the emails submitted and notified by email.

1. The promoter is Argos, whose registered office is 489-499 Avebury Boulevard Saxon Gate West Central Milton Keynes MK9 2NW.
2. The offer is open to residents of the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland) aged 18 years or older, except any affiliate of Argos, person or partner having prior knowledge of this promotion.
3. There are 10 Microsoft Xbox One S All Digital Edition (White) consoles available to purchase at the promotional price of £3.
4. To enter the promotion, customers must register at https://competitions.argos.co.uk/xbox_one_s_2019_06 between 00:01 on 17.06.19 and 23:59 on 19.06.19. Registration requires entrants' name and email address. Only one entry per person.
5. 10 participants will be chosen at random from all entrants and will be emailed by 23:59 on 20.06.19 to confirm their selection.
6. The 10 winning customers will receive a bespoke code allowing them to order the console online for the price of £3. The code will be valid from 00:01 on 23.06.19 until 23:59 on 24.06.19. The console can then be collected from Argos Old Street on 24.06.19 (please refer to term 12 for customers who cannot collect from this location)
7. This £3 promotion is offered exclusively to participants who receive email confirmation from Argos confirming they have been selected to redeem the offer. Recipients must bring their confirmation email with them when redeeming their offer. There is one collection location in central London - the Argos Old Street store. The offer is not available to redeem in-store - no transactions can be made in store and the console must be purchased online ahead of collecting it. We're sorry but we cannot refund travel costs.
8. Only one Microsoft Xbox One S All Digital Edition Console (White) can be redeemed per email.
9. The offer is available to named winners only. Winners must bring valid ID (passport or driver's licence) with them to collect the phone. The ID must match the name entered when entering the promotion. Winners must attend in person to collect the console. If they are unable to attend they must notify us by 23:59 on 22.06.19 in accordance with term 12. Failure to collect the console or notify us by the deadline will result in the offer being withdrawn without compensation.
10. Duplicate emails will not be accepted.
11. Customers must pay the required amount of £3 to receive the console. Payment must be made online using the voucher code
12. Customers who are unable to collect from the pick-up location (Argos Old Street) must email us using the email address provided in the winning email. The original winning email must be forwarded together with a statement that the winner is unable to collect the console. The console will be delivered to a UK residential address. A signature will be required on delivery. If the customer wishes for their console to be personalised, they will be asked to provide further information by email. On receipt of this information, Argos will arrange for the console to be personalised prior to delivery.
13. By participating in this promotion, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
14. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter's control. Any changes to the promotion will be published by the promoter.
15. The promotional voucher is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of greater or equal value. The vouchers are not transferable. Vouchers are subject to availability.
16. All successful entrants will be notified by 23:59 on 20.06.19 by Argos employees.
17. The promoter's decision in respect of all matters to do with the promotion including the determination of the eligibility of entries is final.
18. By submitting an entry, each entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
19. The promotion and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
20. The winners agree to allow the Promoter to use their surname and county of residence to announce the winners of the Promotion. The Promoter reserves the right to publish the surname and county of residence of the winners. The winners may object to their surname and county of residence being published or request for the amount of information being published to be reduced by emailing chelsea.cook@argos.co.uk.
21. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely for the purposes of this Promotion by the Promoter and/or by any agent appointed to it to assist with running the Promotion on behalf of the Promoter and will not be disclosed to a third party for any other purpose. Has anyone ever won one of these comps?

I often wonder as I hesitate to give my opinion of this company! Suffice to say that I think Sainsbury's purchase of Argos has dragged Sainsbury's down and not lifted Argos up in any way.
