Council parking ticket for confusing signage

Options
Hi All,
I parked my car on the busy event day at Mostyn avenue street near wembley designer outlet/stadium and payed for valid parking ticket via Ringo app through mobile .I saw a PCN on my car from brent london borough of Brent after I returned before the time expired .
The notice says contravention 12r " Parked in a residents' or shared use parking place or zone without a valid virtual permit or clearly displaying a valid physical permit or voucher or pay and display ticket issued for that place where required, or without payment of the parking charge".
When I accessed the pics for my PCN online it showed as if i parked in a "resident permit holders only" bay. Also My car was parked right opposite side the parking machine (Can even be seen in the PCN pics online ) and opposite to pay and parking bay ( towards left side )

When I browsed google images for the street I noticed that I parked my car just next bay which says resident permit holders only is ahead of pay and parking signage and I was surprised to see they have 2 different signages for resident permit holders and pay and parking very next to each other within few metres .surprisingly the left side bays which are opposite to mine were all pay and parking

Please can someone help me and suggest if there is any chance to challenge the pcn to council as I genuinely have payed the ticket through the app and feel the 2 different signages for residents and pay and park are confusing as they are located next to each other bays and I overlooked the resident bay parking signage as it was quite few yards in front of my car where it can easily be overlooked as there is another signage which says pay and park nearby

Thanks,
Raj

If you were in a residents' only bay then the CEO may have got that code wrong - but I am really not sure:

12r " Parked in a residents' or shared use parking place or zone without a valid virtual permit or clearly displaying a valid physical permit or voucher or pay and display ticket issued for that place where required, or without payment of the parking charge".

Post and show pics of both sides of the PCN (YES, including the back, all small print) on pepipoo forum instead, where there are more Council PCN experts:

No Hotmail emails allowed there, and do not post a new thread without pics of the PCN.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
