How to copy DVDs ive bought

Hi. im sure there was a programme called clonedvd that will copy films etc? It wont let me do this ??? any other programmes that you know of ?

  • Don't think the discussing of illegal activities will be allowed here. And copying DVDs is in breach of copyright and therefore illegal.
  • making backups of stuff you own shouldn't be too naughty surely?
    easiest way I've found is to use DVD Decrypter to rip the vid file, and then something DVD santa to burn it. Near as I can tell there just isn't a reliable all in one solution out there.

    It is technically illegal, we (in the U.K.) have no rights under law to make backups of films, and even in the U.S. where the law is a bit more forgiving on the "fair use" front it's a specific offence to break the copy protection/encryption on the media (something all bought DVD's have).
