Need a smallish 7 seater mpv family car.
The wife is mainly going to be driving and she is not the most confident of drivers and newly passed around 2 years ago still struggles with parking and manouvers etc.. so need to be a smallish car but a 7 seater to be able to fit the whole family. She will mainly only be doing small jurneys schools runs, chores etc..

Wanting something from a 10 plate and above the 2 I have seen are a Peugeot 5008 or VW Touran.
Which of these 2 cars are smaller in length and easier to drive, more reliable and easier to park?

You could just choose a car, then go to Halfords and get a reversing camera fitted for around £150?
I have just bought a Zafira, they already have a small TV screen, I wonder if a camera could be conected to that?

How often do you need to use the 6th and 7th seats? There's a quashqai +2 7 seater up to about 2013, but I suspect the 3rd row will be pretty tight and there's essentially no boot with the seats in use.

Toyota (Yaris?) Verso looks pretty small too.

Fial 500L - 7 seats, reversing camera (on certain models).

the Fiat 500L doesn't look to bad.

2 of the smallest MPV's I have seen from searching is the fiat 500l and Toyota verso (even though the dash on this looks ugly as hell) which of these is actually the smallest and better car?

    The earlier Touran is 4397mm

You might just find one with a 10 plate and the 1.9tdi which is a great engine.

I had a 2014 Toyota Verso 1.8 automatic petrol for a couple of years - okay to drive, but the inside was just cheap plastic. Fold down seats in the boot were very tight to sit in, and with the seats up there is zero storage space - although it's exactly the same in my wife's larger Kia Sorento with the 2 seats in the boot, so I don't think you'll find a comfortable small 7 seater.

Hi i had a 10 plate vw touran (manual) - this was about 4 years ago, it was i believe a match bluemotion spec. I found it easy to park and manoever , especially down tight narrow roads. The car i had prior to that was an Audi A3 so the Touran was my first large car. Also it had the park assist function where you drive up to a parking space and it will do the steering for you so you only have to do the pedals.

I'd be looking into getting the driver a few more lessons. If after two years they are still not confident then not sure any kind of car is going to compensate for a lack of driving ability. You can cause just as much harm to other road users /pedestrians plus passengers driving a small car as a large one.
