I've not seen anyone else mention this yet, and it seemed to come to some surprise to Tesco, but their June statements have the incorrect bank account details displayed i.e. the bank account you are expected to credit to pay your bill.

The correct details are, as they have been for the last couple of years:

Sort Code: 40-64-15
Account no. ****0006

This is also the sort code & account given on their website here:
https://yourcommunity.tescobank.com/t5/Online-Banking/Paying-your-Credit-Card/ta-p/174

For some unknown reason, Tesco Bank Credit Card statements for June have reverted to showing the old, now incorrect, account details from over two years ago.

Sort Code: 40-02-50
Account no. ****6044

This is incorrect, as confirmed by them on the phone today. So if you were about to set up a new payee to pay your credit card bill, DON'T!

Tesco Credit Card said they are looking into what's gone wrong.
The incorrect payment details are shown on the back of page1, at the bottom section under Payment Method, 2 Faster Payments

No Thanks - I only use Direct Debit where I obtain a discount or other advantage.

How often do card companies change their payment details?
Once in blue moon I would suggest...

With credit cards I always have a DD set up to pay the minimum, I can pay the balance by Debit Card payment but having the DD setup to sort the minimum means that I will never miss a payment no matter what happens. I know that if I ever found myself unable to make the payment manually (hospital admission for example) I may end up paying some interest but I won't be paying penalities or getting a red marker.

I prefer manual payments or standing orders. Easier to chose a preferable payment date that way.
