  • OP, your buyers are ignorant of all the legal matters/facts/etc, they are trying their luck.
Do not entertain any thoughts of future dealings with them.
The process is finished, draw a line under it.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Probably cost them more to write, print and post their letter than to buy a pack of lightbulbs with their next weekly food shop!

Ignore or do a click and collect for a pair of light bulbs at the nearest screwfix or argos to show no hard feelings about the light blubs and send them the reference numbers if you feel like poking them.

If you have to go to court, which you won't, counter claim them a couple of days money, stress and inconvenience by way of a pro forma invoice which you will be intending on including in your defense if they take further action.

Relax. I think the dead dog is the mythical one that appears on MSE from time to time, but I don't recall a period when we were a nation of animal lovers anyway. That too is mythical IMO.

I'm fairly sure the people who are the subject of this thread exist, if only because I have a pair of them living close by. They're ridiculous and I can't imagine what they get out of all the complaints, threats and insults they generate annually, but they keep up a steady barrage, despite no one taking any notice. Encouragement through response is definitely to be avoided.

What nutters. Yup, you can safely ignore. I suspect they are people who like throwing their weight around for the sake of this, but as has been said, they cannot be said to have made a loss on any of those so-called 'Problems'

Send them a bill to cover the cost of you looking after the furniture they had delivered.
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?
