Direct line car insurance decline

I am in the process of purchasing a house so have been looking to see how much car insurance would be when I move. It is basically doubling! The cheapest quote I got was from Direct line. I also checked to see how much the policy would be at my current address as my insurance renewal is due the 8th July and I don’t yet have a completion date for my move but will be after this. Anyway, because I have put several addresses in on Direct line, they are now declining to offer me insurance. Does anyone know how long this lasts with Direct line and is it worth me trying again. I had a genuine reason for the quotes yet I’ve been made out to be trying to fiddle the system! The quote with them was £340. The next cheapest is £458. This is from a £268 policy at my current address. I’m only moving a mile up the road!! Would the premium be any cheaper once I’m actually in the purchased property? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try their online chat and see if a friendly operator will reset the system so you can get a quote or otherwise advise you.0

I’ve spoken to someone on the phone who said they can’t do this.0

When doing dummy quotes, always use dummy names and Dob, your manipulating the system by using several different addresses and this has been picked up by their anti fraud system
use a price comparison to compare and use actual address at the time for proper quotes, as anything else is fraud and if you don't keep the car at the address overnight you will risk any claims not being covered"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Surely using dummy information is manipulating the system?0

Whenever you supply data for quotes you agree you are telling the truth
The insurers have anti fraud software that spots attempts to manipulate the system to try and find lower quotes
All you can try now you look to have been black listed is a written apology (ie grovel!!) and ask that they remove the marker and take it from their reply0 -
I dont find using 'dummy' inofrmation works anymore. They check the data you supply to see it matches with a real person and address and if it doesn't you just get stupidly high quotes; at least nothing as good as when entering your real details.0

Insurers also check the IP address used to do this multiple quotes... hence why dummy quotes don't work as well anymore.0

Some people can use VPN, but personally I don't do dummy quotes, don't see the point, your going to put all the factual info anyways and omitting information can lead to cancellation/ claim being rejected.
Sure might be informative to see how much loaded premiums for an accident, but if your going to pay it anyways and declare it why bother ?"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

How is this reasonable or meaningful in the case of someone obtaining quotes from a 4G device or Hotel or public library
My understanding is that dongles use NAT and multiple handsets would use the same IP
However this information is useful to know.0
