    Launched today,

I'm sure it's been here for at least a week, because...
the feature is designed to benefit people who have accounts with different providers. Currently, the app is limited to displaying accounts held with Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland

... last week I was able to add Nationwide (current account only - won't show regular saver) to the Lloyds app.

I'm too [STRIKE]busy[/STRIKE] lazy to work out what the Lloyds app does that Yolt does not do. If someone else has done the comparison, could they post their findings please?

Think they are one of the last to launch this facility.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

From a quick reading of what Yolt does, the only extra thing the Lloyds app allows you to do is actively manage your Lloyds accounts (send money, pay people, usual bank-specific-app things,) but only your Lloyds accounts.

Like Yolt, all other 3rd party accounts are read-only.

Do any of the apps have different times before having to reauthenticate your outside accounts, or are they all the same?

MoneyDashboard have been offering this for years, linked to several institutions. Those that are not "linked" can be added as "offline" accounts.

I've had the Halifax app installed for about 3 months.Even then it said I could add accounts with other providers, but I didn't actually try it.

I'm not sure I need the app anyway, logging in is just as good, only installed it to pay in a couple of cheques.

The title and opening blurb are misleading.

The important part of the article is this:
From now on, customers who use the Lloyds, Halifax or Bank of Scotland mobile app to access their current account will now be able to see any savings or credit card details at the same time and in the same place (provided they are also held with either Lloyds, Halifax or Bank of Scotland).

For example, customers with a Halifax current account will be able to see their Lloyds Bank credit card or savings account while using the Halifax mobile app.

It's been possible to view Halifax accounts in the BoS app and vice-versa for sometime.

What's new? Lloyds has joined the party. Perhaps. It doesn't seem to work for me.

Hardly worth writing an article about.

It's been possible to view a limited number of current accounts from other banks in the Lloyds/Halifax/BoS apps via the Open Banking protocol for months.

Pretty sure my Barclays app has offered this for ages...
