Pylon aside I love the outside. Think the inside is horrible myself. I would be trying about £360 and cross fingers but then that's well out of my budget anyway

Try visiting in the morning or evening rush hour on a rare day when that section of the M27 isn't at a standstill. While the motorway is in a cutting at that point, it could still be disturbing. However, it seems to be surrounded by open space and I can't see the area between the house and the motorway being developed although just about every bit of green space in that area will probably become housing before too long.

Thanks all really good comments taken them all onboard and trying not to rule heart over head. Spotted this which is around the corner and essentially the same house.

I'm going to speak to the agent just check things like heating system etc and send my other half uncle to have a look.

Looking at some maps the wire for the pilon actually go away from the house back over the motor way but will check in situ obviously.

The pylon and motorway noise would certainly put me off.

Are the old details from a previous attempt by the current owners to sell it? If so that would suggest that there is scope for offering fairly low if you decide to go for it.

Yours recently listed at a price £25K below property along road presumably because of pilon and proximity to motorway. Even if you like it others would have reservations in the future.
Prefer one listed above at similar price, There is another nice one listed in Stubbington but this might be out of your preferred area.

Yes it was from previous owners no sales since then so agree room for negotiations.

This is near the new development of 250 new homes but lovely location.

It’s our forever home so not looking to move for a long long time after being a nomad in London. Don’t get the yours listed at £25k below. Sorry

Second viewing tomorrow at 12 noon. Agent called me back also found out boiler is Combi and 5 years old which is all good.

Just thought I would update on how I got on as I really appreciate the advice. I offered £375k not accepted, went back with £380k then agent said they wanted £390 but will take £385k so I agreed. They are moving into a small flat so there will be chain but they won't need all the furniture. I'm quite happy now it's just the tedious waiting to exchange might have to join that thread.

    That's a good result.

For the benefit of newbies, if you had needed a mortgage, the standard advice here would be don't add the furniture cost to the mortgage but do it as cash.

No point getting a 25-year loan for depreciating assets no matter how good the rate of interest.

Thanks for the update, it's always nice to hear how things turn out. And good luck with the move.
