Wrong location on PCN

Hi, as my username states I am a broke university student and unfortunately just received a parking fine yesterday for the first time ever. I was visiting my friend in Nottingham to help him move out and parked in his street right in front of his house since the street was mainly empty (university finished a week ago), and when I came back I found a parking ticket issued by Nottingham City Council for parking in a residents or shared use parking place or zone without clearly displaying either a permit or voucher or pay and display ticket issued for that place (12). The Civil Enforcement Officer took pictures of my car and the sign I honestly didn't see since it was raining so heavily when I arrived which states Permit Holders Only from 8am to 6pm on Monday to Saturday, and mine was issued on a Saturday at 5.10pm and is a £70 fine, reduced to £35 if I pay within 14 days. However, the officer got my location completely wrong on the PCN?? Everything else is fine to be honest but the location is absolutely incorrect and £70 seems extremely excessive, considering the time of the academic year as well as the actual time and day, and as a broke university student, I would really appreciate getting out of this mess. This is the first parking fine I've ever gotten so would greatly appreciate any advice. Thank you!

Take this to pepipoo for best advice

This forum majors on private parking invoices rather than proper council fines

As above, go to Pepipoo. Wrong location (if not just a minor typo) should be fatal to the ticket.

I agree wrong location should win it in the end, but most Council PCN experts are here:

NO HOTMAIL emails allowed. You MUST show pics of the PCN (both sides, all small print).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
