Interest refund on missed cc payment

I always pay with DD as well, however they can sometimes fail and also in the switch over between minimum and full payment when a 0% ends then you can sometimes have issues with interest.

I would however always ask for them to refund any interest and late payment fee, sometimes they'll offer one but can be sweet talked into doing both.

I had a DD fail because the credit card balance was greater than my overdraft and I had a zero balance on the current account first thing in the morning. I moved the money in later but it still bounced, I was able to talk my way out of any charges.

As long as you aren't completely reckless then you're usually fine.
