Time with bank/account opened

I've had my HSBC current account since 2008 but I thinking of upgrading it to the Advance account. If I do that, will that impact the 'account opened' date on my credit report? I.e. if I switch today, will that 'account opened' date change to today or stay as the date the account was originally opened in 2008? Curious as to whether upgrading a bank account affects this date.

It should still clear to lenders it's a continuation.
Either way, I wouldn't let it stop you changing if you prefer the new account.0 -
I’ve upgraded accounts in the past and nothing has changed regarding dates.
Only if you apply for a new account opening0
