CCJ problem

Hi all, I am just wondering if it is possible to have a CCJ removed from my file as I had a CCJ placed on me while i was disputing the cost's. The CCJ was a £12,000 debt in the December of 2014 which i paid off in the August 2015.
I was refusing because it was over solicitors as they first quoted me of £5000 which i agreed, but after paying the solicitors in excess of £25,000 i was refusing to pay. The reason why I didn't pay was my money was tied in the bank until the august and if i would of released the money i would of lost the a lot of interest.
As the debt was of such a small amount on time (8 months) I was wondering if this could be removed from my file. It is down as satisfied but not removed.
Thank you in advance.

A CCJ will only be removed if it's paid in full within 28 days of the court granting it.
You could contact the solicitors and ask them if they would agree to it being removed, but it's doubtful they will agree.
As you are probably aware it stays on your file for 6 years and has an impact on your financials, car/home insurance and career depending on what job you are in.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
No
If you’ve paid it, it will be removed 6 years from when it was paid.0 -

That is correct0 -
Correct. I meant judgement not payment date.0

The CCJ may cost you more in the long run than the lost interest would have done. Unless the solicitor was agreeable for it to be removed then it would just be marked as settled. Can't see why they would esp as they had to get the CCJ because you would not pay when requested.0
