council tax child turning 18

daughter was 18 in April she is on an approved education course which ends in July i am still in receipt of child benefit for her until september - i get single persons discount for coucil tax at the moment but do i need to tell council tax people that she is now 18 ?

She is going to do a level 3 course in September in college as well -

Any advice appreciated as she doenst get any entitlments or a student grant until shes at university the year after -

    You need to advise the council and tell them about the Child Benefit and the fact that she is a student.
    I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.
