Would like to get 3 1st floor bedrooms and also a spare room on the ground floor done.
currently all have carpet fitted.
so the Job
Remove the carpet and dispose of it.
Floor boards are creaking so screw down the existing floor boards where needed.
Fit laminate flooring in all 4 rooms around 36m2 with underlay.
fit scotia bead
and door trims.
Been Quoted £800 labour. does that sound fair ?

Fitting cost for laminate flooring should be around the £10-12 per sqm mark. So it sounds quite expensive on the face of it.
Door trims and beading shouldt cost too much, theyre fairly simple jobs.
Have they mentioned anything about trimming the doors if needs be?

Can they give you a breakdown of the quote? I recently had 68 sqm of laminate fitted for just over £800, however I had already removed the existing subfloor and disposed of it so I'm not sure how much they are charging you for that plus the work to screw down the existing floor boards.
I can only compare to my job but I think yours is a tad on the high side, doesn't seem outrageous though depending on the removal, sub floor prep and beading costs.0
