Join the Lit & Phil for a spectacular, supernatural summer full of spooks and phantoms with the Summer Hauntings Festival from 21st June–5th July. Believed to be one of the most haunted buildings in Newcastle, where better to host a two-week festival offering a smorgasbord of the spectral and mysterious – from classic and modern storytelling of the weird and wonderful, to eerie ghost tours, spooky twilight readings and uncanny folk-tale telling, to a gothic afternoon tea and lectures on ‘uninvited guests’ and ghovls from literature. The two-week calendar is jam-packed with ghovlish events, and we’ve got two pairs of tickets to give away to one of the highlights – see celebrated crime writer Ann Cleeves read from her own ghost story Stranded on 25th June.

– The winners must be able to attend the 7pm Tuesday 25th event at Lit & Phil, Newcastle.
