HM Land Registry not showing me as the house owner?

Hi guys,
Not sure where best to place this thread, but I wondered if anyone has any knowledge on how the HM Land Registry works, and if this is normal..
I completed on purchasing my first home on 4th March 19, and need a copy of the title register to prove I own the property for a seperate application I am doing.
The problem is, I have gone to the HM Land Registry website, paid the £3 fee for a copy of the title register documents, and it shows the previous owner as the current registered owner.
The document is timestamped as last updated on the: 4 JUN 2019 at 14:15:23
Now it has been 3 months and a week since I have legally purchased this house, and I went through conveyancing with a solicitor, and have a mortgage on the property in my name too.. everything done correctly of course, and yet I am in this strange predictiment,
Does anyone know what might have happened here? -- have I slipped through the net? Who should I be contacting if so? The bits of reading I have done online suggests this update should have happened within a few days, so I'm a bit concerned
Many thanks.
Phil.

I'd give your solicitors a call.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
I believe they have a backlog of applications.
Speak with your conveyancer tomorrow and ask when they submitted the application and when they expect to receive confirmation the property has been transferred.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Backlog should not be that long.
Did you do the conveyancing yourself? If so, did you remember to submi the SDLT form and AP1 to the LR?
If you used a conveyancer then either
* they failed to do the above (for whatever reason)
* or they did but there was an error or isue with the application
Either way you should contact them for an explanation. in writing.0 -
@G_M, thanks for your response.
And everyone else too.
All the paperwork was done through the solicitor, I have sent an email to the solicitor this evening, it sounds likely something has gone wrong, I'll provide updates when I get them.
Thanks again guys! really grateful for the advice received.0 -
When we spoke to them earlier this year, the backlog was 6-7 months long.
They will expedite it where there is a sale or remortgage etc. reliant on it happening, but I believe your solicitor needs to ask - at least that's what we were told.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

A lot of organisations will accept a copy of a solicitor's completion statement as proof that you own a property.
It might be worth checking with whoever you are applying to.0 -
Hi guys, a new update from solicitor, positive news I guess but a new one to me!
Unfortunately, your sellers lender, *bank name*, took an extremely long time to actually discharge the mortgage with the Land Registry and that is what you can see was updated on the 4th June. I had to extend the timeframe with the Land Registry until *bank name* saw fit to send what was needed to Land Registry. This happens every so often but I can assure you that your priority is protected and I expect to receive the completed registration before the end of next week.
Thanks again guys.0
