Euro Car Parks - POPLA stage

Hi everyone,

Just won my court case with one parking firm and I am now fighting another!

This time it is Euro Car Parks - the machine and pay by phone both not working. I appealed and they have rejected.

When doing research the landowner is in liquidation, should I mention this in my POPLA appeal?

thanks!

you should mention no landowner authority , poor and inadequate signage , any BPA CoP failures , any POFA failures , faulty machines causing frustration of contract etc

    Hi,

I have had the operator evidence back which includes landowner authority contract (with a different company to the one on the land registry), images of signs, and proof of transactions 5 minutes before I tried to use the machine. It must have been working before that time. There was around 8 other people who could not pay with me - we all put notes in our car windows.

Can anyone advise on what next, they have asked me to leave comments.

So rebut the landowner contract point by showing the Land Registry entry is different from the contract provided by the scammers.

You might lose but who cares? Search Euro POPLA lost and ignore, if so.

If the PPC have a bad contract make a complaint to Trading Standards' and also to your MP. as nine times out of ten these tickets are scams.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
