when going on to the avast site to read the help and forums twice now i have had the pages shrinking when scrolling, and when trying to type into the search, random letters with little accents above appear. Is this just coincidence, is it the avast site, or is something up with my keyboard. once off the site the keyboard change remained, both times i had to restart the computer.
using windows 7.
thank you.

Most probable you have more than one keyboard set up for whatever reason and you're pressing a key combination to switch keyboards.
This might be of use:

i don't have another keyboard set up, but maybe i have pressed something i shouldn't :rotfl:0 -
or the page is looking for a special font which you do not have, and the closest replacement is the gobbledegook one. To be fair, I would think it is keyboard related too
Try the on screen keyboard. Start > osk0 -
Holding the CTRL key and scrolling the mouse wheel will make pages shrink and grow - is that key stuck down ?0
