hi guys,
sorry if this is the wrong board for this, but i am toying with the idea of switching from lloyds to either hsbc first direct or maybe barclays. i wondered if any of them do an eligibility check similar to the credit card ones?
thanks in advance.

No current accounts don’t offer eligibility checks.
Use the Bank Accounts board as well for questions on this subject matter0 -
This will probably seem really pedantic but there should be a comma after 'No', which would eliminate any ambiguity about what the sentence means - if left unpunctuated it can be read as a double negative, i.e. '[there are] no current accounts [that] don't offer eligibility checks', which is the exact opposite of what I believe is meant here!No current accounts don’t offer eligibility checks.0 -

Or, to be equally pedantic, a full stop. 'No. Current accounts don't offer eligibility checks.'0 -
