Question mark on my AMEX file

Options
So I saw this on my credit file today. (Noodle / Credit Karma). Now I know why it's there, I setup a direct debit recently, so there was a delay.

Just wondering if it has any negative impact at all as I am just about to apply for a new card and would like my files to be tip top.

I have always taken an unreported/unknown marker to be neutral, neither positive or negative.
I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

    I love my job

  • You can ask them to update it.

However if payment was late that month you run the “risk” of having it marked as such.

It wasnt "late" as per their Terms and conditions.
However it was "latER" than usual due to their DD systems.

Check exactly what the ? means on this report. However, it's marked green so that should not be interpreted as a negative.

    It says "no update received".

In that case I don't see it as a problem. Not your fault if AMEX failed to update that month. As the months both sides are ok and, as I said before, the ? is green, I really don't think it is anything to worry about.
What about the balance and payment information for the month and the numerical status. What does that show?

"?'s" will have no effect, they're a completely neutral status.

    Stop worrying about it.
