Eon heat flooding - what are my rights?
Options
My boiler and heat meter are in a cupboard on my hallway. I have noticed yesterday that the laminate flooring on my hallway was cupped with the corners raised, and noticed that the entire cupboard area was wet. The flooring in the cupboard is carpet by the way.
I called in a plumber and he told me that it was actually Eon Heat because it is a leak coming from one of the pipes in the heat meter. At the moment I am looking at:
1. A plumber bill of £120
2. Actually fixing the issue (Eon is sending an engineer later today)
3. Removing carpet in cupboard
4. Removing mould in cupboard
5. Fixing flooring (with replacement of laminate planks?)
Since this is the responsibility of Eon heat I would expect that their insurance should cover these costs. Is this correct? What rights do I actually have and how do I make these claims?

Ask the engineer for a contact address and then formally write to Eon.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
