Council tax support / savings / disability

Hi
Does the savings limit of £3000 for receiving council tax support also apply if you are of working age, disabled and in receipt of PIP? It looks like it is either working age - limit £3000 - or pension age - limit £10,000 or more, but I might be missing something.

Limits for working age claimants are set by the local authority - there is no longer a national set of rules (although there are some minimum requirements). You will therefore have to look to your local authority for the answers.

For pension age claimants a national set of rules still applies, savings over £10,000 are taken into account and a claim cannot be made if there are savings over £16,000,unless guarantee Pension Credit is in payment in which case there is no savings limit.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
