Product out of warranty

Hi all, as the title says I purchased a VELUX electric window a few yrs ago, I went to use it a few months ago and the remote keypad has stopped working. I’ve spoken to VELUX and they explained that it is out of warranty by about 6 months and need to buy the newer version of my old product which is a lot more expensive. I argued this and they said the best they could offer was a 50% discount, is this acceptable and what are my consumer rights ? Thanks in advance

Sounds like a good deal. You don't have any consumer rights after that time and if they're prepared to help out even after the warranty has expired, that's quite generous.

Warranty is not your Consumer Rights that is against the vendor .
Date of purchase etc .What is a few 2 3 4 years ago ,

But after a 6 months they can choose to repair or pro rata refund .
So 50% discount is a good offer .

Might be worth trying to source a keypad .
