on 22th March, I was balance free, and phoned them and asked them not to pay AA fee as I was changing to another provider. However they did pay them on the 25th March.
I now had to get a refund from the AA which they eventually paid back on 9th April into my Saga account, Since the 25th March I have now been in touch with Saga 3 times and obviously been miss led with them saying you will get a check in a week or so. Which has not happened.
I have phoned them again on the 10th June after waiting another week and a bit for the non existing cheque to arrive. Only to find the Saga number is not in use and you are told to call another company LCM (they say this so quickly you have to phone back to get all of the number very poor customer service) which I did. Only to go through various searches on account, name area etc only to be told they apparently have not loaded my details yet and they will call me back. Yea if that's going to happen.
I am now after my money back with an interest additional payment to cover my inconvenience and phone calls up to 18 minutes long. To me this puts Saga's consumer service at a dismal lowest 0 for service.
i would be interested to know if any others have managed to get their money back, slightly different from Saga trying to get money shame they are not so quick themselves in paying back customers.

If you wanted to cancel your AA subscription you should have cancelled it directly with the AA, not Saga.
Instead of calling Saga why did you not call the AA and ask then to cancel your membership?
Saga would hardly have promised you a cheque on 25th March in respect of a transaction applied to your credit card account on 25th March as presumably you would not yet have paid them. A credit to your account possibly; a cheque no.
If the AA debited your credit card account on 25th March and refunded your credit card account on 9th April, what is the problem?
Surely you didn't PAY Saga the moment the transaction appeared did you? The payment due date for a transaction made on 25th March cannot possibly have been prior to 9th April.
Not quite sure how you can claim to be owed anything.0 -
            Don’t expect any compo.
It’s really not worth kicking up a stink over.0 -

Again, someone who makes life so complicated. In future contact the provider you are with and cancel with them. Do you make every aspect of your life so damn difficult?0
