GARBAGE
Together for over 25 years Garbage has sold more than 17 million albums worldwide and performed in over 35 countries. The band’s unique sound and provocative visual aesthetic grabbed headlines, attracted attention and Award nominations for seminal album Version 2.0. In the post-millennium years, platinum selling beautifulgarbage was followed by Bleed Like Me. Their most recent studio album Strange Little Birds, reached #1 on Billboard’s Top Rock and Alternative chart. Back on the road, the strident cyberpunks are once again showing how it’s done.
SLEEPER
After hibernating for twenty years (where did the time go!?) Britpop favourites, Sleeper are back on the road, performing live. Original members: Louise Wener (vocs, guitar), Jon Stewart (guitar) and Andy Maclure (drums) are newly joined by Kieron Pepper (previously of The Prodigy) on bass.
Sleeper enjoyed huge critical and commercial success in the mid 90’s: achieving 8 Top 40 singles across 3 Top 10 albums with well over 1,000,000 sales. The band also had two tracks featured on the era defining soundtrack to ‘Trainspotting’: named as one of the best film soundtracks of all time by the likes of Rolling Stone.
DU BLONDE
Du Blonde may sound like a band, but in fact it is, and always has been, the work of just one person. Beth Jeans Houghton.
Her new album Lung Bread For Daddy delves even deeper into self sufficiency, seeing Beth take the reigns on production, instrumentation, album artwork and direction of music videos. This project is entirely her own. “I’ve always known exactly what I want my records to sound like and apart from drums, I have the ability to play all the instruments, so why wouldn’t I? It was also a ‘!!!! you’ to anybody who has made me feel like my playing abilities were not good enough over the years.” Houghton states defiantly.
