Received my renewal for house insurance from Churchill for £552 from £488  that's just too much
after shopping about for a day or two managed to get a new policy with Admiral for £266
Half price so I'm pleased with that
it's defo worth taking the time out and searching for the best prices

One thing worth checking. Does the new plan cover trace and access? Apparently, many of admirals basic B&C policies don't as this is quite a big area of risk for an insurer. All that glitters and all that.....0

Definitely check that the coverage is the same. If you've gone from a Churchill Plus to Admiral basic then the cover is not going to be the same.0

I'm on the platinum package FutureGirl went over my policy with a fine toothcomb so that I was getting the same level of cover.NEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050 -

I've got a policy with a local company for my boiler and plumbing as most insurers only offer a temporary fixNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050 -

A local company won't be offering trace and access. Trace and access cover is what covers the repairs to your property when a builder has to pull your home apart finding the trace of a leak. These claims can run into thousands and even 10's of thousands when leaks are in obscure places or underground. I'd never even consider a plan without trace and access.0
