To late for me but would like to make everyone aware that a normal (no rush) ESTA should only cost you $14 . I clicked onto the USAESTA site and was charged $14 and in small print under that it said once application goes through I will be charged another $85 . So I paid £78 for my ESTA and I got 3 of them = £234 for something on a different site would have cost me £32. Feeling stupid . Beware !

It's (relatively) well known that only the US Government ESTA website should be used.
Same applies to other US official websites - for example, tour tickets for Alcatraz visits.0 -
I have no words.0

Did all the standing threads here on rip-off/impersonation application sites not give any hint that we are already well-up on this?0

OP - just in case you get any emails off a Nigerian warlord wanting you to transfer $4,000 to him in order to unlock a $7,000,000 bounty of which you will get half, don't bother doing it.0

I could not find anything on the site about this, hence the reason I posted. It was a legit ESTA just cost the Earth , and obviously panic stations at airport finding out what others had paid0

It's worth bringing it up now & again, not everyone is as well informed as some of the regulars on here.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Or this about a range of copycat sites, including ESTA?

Or this thread from January 2019?

Not even the official MSE guide/article and its associated discussion thread which is right at the top of its forum, right now?0 -

But that negates all the good advice already here that actually helps a great many people reclaim these charges.0 -
Ah so I can claim the money back? If you could send me that thread that would be very helpful, I will also check the ones you listed too0
