Unreasonable charges for other services?

I set up a mini ISA share dealing account with Halifax Share Dealing Ltd.
The account had hardly any balance in it and as they were charging me a monthly fee I decided to close it. To my annoyance they want another £48 as a closure fee. They point to terms & conditions that I guess I must have accepted but the charge was burred in the small print.
Halifax Share dealing is part of the HBOS banking group - the charge is definitely unreasonable - are there any grounds where I can contest this charge? Or is only bank charges.

  • I don't think you can claim this as it is in the terms and conditions but I will bump this so others can give an opinion
