iPhone 6 leaking battery acid

So around 2 months ago, my Apple iPhone 6 began leaking some form of, what I presume to be, battery acid or electro-lights. It is translucent and has a blue fluorescent hinge to the liquid. There was around half of a cup of coffee of liquid leaking from the bottom of the device and into the screen.
This first happened in October, after around a week of running around with Apple, they offered to have it repaired for free through a mail-in. They replaced the battery and the screen, free of charge, despite it being out of warranty, as they themselves said it was a leaking battery.
However, this time, they weren't as lenient. They seemed like they wanted to help me, but wanted £300 for a repair, please also bear in mind my nearest Apple Authorised Service Provider is an hour away and having bad experiences with them before, and multiple bad reviews, I decided not to go there. Apple said for anything to be done I need to take it to an ASP or Apple Store and the nearest Apple Store is 3 hours away in Cambridge, so today I took it to the London Convent Garden store, where they opened it up, said the battery was in 'perfect' condition and the device was 'safe to use'. I told them that I felt the device wasn't safe to use since it posed an immediate risk to my safety with it being the second time it's leaking fluid, but they reassured me I should be 'fine' using it. The reason I went there was to get a Genius Bar report, to take the Consumer Rights Act 2015 against the company I purchased it from (Carphone Warehouse), the device is 1 year and 8 months old. What I don't understand, that after the same issue is happening again, they won't repair it, and tell me it's 'safe to use' when it is leaking a liquid. The device, by the way, has no damage and is in complete working order.
I need advice on what I should do now, with it leaking a liquid, affecting the display, rendering the device useless, and with a Genius Bar report saying it's 'fine' when it clearly isn't. It's an immediate threat to my safety and they said it's fine, so far the worst it's done is be a skin irritant. I can't use consumer law as Apple said it's fine and they won't do it for free. What do I do? None of this is my fault, the device is clearly faulty...I've reached a dead end.
Carphone Warehosue are hopeless, I purchased the device from them. The customer service straight up lied to me on the phon twice saying they were told to say the consumer rights act 2015. I event have recordings! They won’t do anything to help.
Any help would be appreciated.

If it's an immediate threat to your safety, why are you carrying it around?
I don't think you're going to get anywhere with a phone that's 20 months old - it will be almost impossible to prove that it is an inherent fault and not a result of the way you've used it. For example:
Have you always used an Apple-approved charger?
Have you always kept and operated the phone within the recommended temperature tolerances?
There are a whole number of ways in which you might have caused the problem and after this much time, the onus is on you to prove you didn't. If you have an independent report saying the phone's "fine" then you are at a dead end.
Dispose of the "dangerous" phone safely and buy a new phone.0 -

As you have been told by Apple the battery is ok, is it fluid from the display ??0 -
I wouldn’t say the report is independent as it came from Apple directly.0

Apple told me the device is ok, despite their support team repeatedly telling me it isn’t and the issue is most likely with the battery like it was last time0

Something very odd is happening but I repeat: You're at a dead end because if Apple won't diagnose an inherent fault and you've owned it for 20 months, you're not able to prove the problem is inherent.
Give up and get a new phone.0 -
To clarify, Apple advised me that the standard amount would be between a half and a full cup of coffee. Quite clearly, a cup of coffee is smaller in America. I don’t understand why I need to get a ne device though when it’s something that isn’t my fault.0

It may not be your fault but neither can you provide evidence to suggest there’s an inherent fault with the phone. After all, it worked normally for 18 months.
Things break or wear out. It’s not anyone’s fault, it’s just what happens. You cannot expect a product you probably use for several hours a day, take with you everywhere you go and discharge/charge daily to last forever.0 -

Sorry, but that is just laughable. Pour yourself a cup of coffee and look at how much there is in volume - then look at the dimensions of your phone. You might fit a fairy sized coffee cup of liquid into a phone - think acorn cup. Americans don't drink coffee from fairy cups - like everything else their food and drink portions are bigger than anyone elses.0
