How long does a seller have to post?

I can't find anything that mentions shipping days on the ad.
I bought a computer part. The ad says they'll send it once payment has cleared. I paid via PayPal with that pay after delivery option.
They haven't marked it as dispatched although i know they don't have to. Most people seem to but i know it's no rule.
They're sending via 1st class signed for, whenever they get round to sending it.
I'm just wondering how long they can leave it before posting?

It is in each listing , there is no set time. Go into the postage option tag, under the postage options it will say something like 'seller will normally dispatch within x amounts of days after receiving cleared payment'. If seller doesn't adhere to that then they get a late defect.
I usually send next working day but currently have it set at 4 working days due to going on a short break. All my listings have been updated to show the 4 working days and estimated delivery times have been automatically adjusted to take that into account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I usually give 5 working days before getting concerned for item. If its not worth you with the following 5:
* Message seller to asks what's happening
* Raise dispute if necessary
Though usually the situation resolves itself before the last point. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
It says:it will say something like 'seller will normally dispatch within x amounts of days after receiving cleared payment'.
and to pad out the character limit...Postage and packaging - Free P&P
To - United Kingdom
Service - Standard Delivery (Royal Mail 1st Class)
Delivery - Delivers within 2-3 days after seller dispatches item.0 -

It is a bit arbitrary to decide that 5 working days is about right, each seller will have their own clearly shown despatch time , for instance at the moment if you bought from me it wouldn't even be posted until 4 working days, and at 2nd class you are looking at over a week. However if you had bought from me yesterday then I had a 1 day dispatch on so it would now be on its way.
It really pays to check the auction listing with regard to dispatch time and estimated delivery time.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Are you in the post and packing tab?
This might not work but try this:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kings-and-Queens-of-England-and-Great-Britain-Book-by-Eric-R-Delderfield/352616781954?hash=item5219991882:g:aZ4AAOSwnypciXR5
Under the post and packing tab it shows the various postal options and under that it says
Will usually dispatch within 1 working day of receiving cleared payment
not my auction BTW just a random one.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. What does it say when you go to your order via your purchase history?
The actual order should be there along with the estimated delivery date. The EDD is the dispatch time plus the delivery time.0
