I had a message o my PC reportedly from Microsoft with a freephone number 08002061011 saying my PC had been hacked. I phoned the number and it quickly came apparent it was not Microsoft but a scam. They told me my system had been hacked by malware Aluvea. I did not give them any bank details and rang off. How can I check without a charge whether there is Malware on my PC. My security companiy F Secure haven a full scan but it does not cover all malware. Help please

Sort of makes you wonder what the point of these 3rd party AVs is atall !!
As above, Malwarebytes will sort you out .. But what you experienced here was not malware, but rather specially crafted pop up ads that are difficult to close.
If you frequent the type of sites that sling these ads then chances are you have malware anyway, which Malwarebytes will sort out0
