so HL insiders sold shares ahead of the woodfood saga.

This is a non issue, Dempier was due to retire anyway and it makes sense to diversify your assets, especially given the x9 returns of HL stock over the past decade.


Insider transactions can be a useful indicator but there is no foul play here. The linkage between HL and Woodford, and the issues at Woodford were public knowledge. Whether or not HL should have included Woodford in its best buy list, or whether it should have best buy lists at all, is a different matter and is the real problem.
