Requesting copy of PIP assessors report

My daughter had an assessment at an assessment centre last week (5th June). She was transferred from DLA to PIP with an at home assessment a few years ago.
I have phoned this morning to request a copy of the assessment to be told this is not available until we have received the letter from the DM and was pointed to information on the IAS site confirming this.
I know Poppy and others have requested the report and am not sure if the person on the phone was correct . I tried phoning again only to get the same person on the phone so ended the call.
It does confirm the info I was pointed to on their site so has anyone experienced the same thing?

What you've been told is not correct. I think you were very unlucky to speak to the same person twice and i would like to guess the chances of the happening lol.
They do send the report out before the decision is made but some advisers refuse to send it. Ring again and hopefully this time you'll speak to someone different who will agree to send it. This happened to me too and the next person i spoke to sent it out and i received it a couple of days later.0 -
Thank you Poppy. I do intend phoning again. However the info I was pointed to on their site states "You can only request a copy once the DWP writes to you with their decision"
I didn't request a copy after her transfer to PIP so am new to this. The nurse who did this assessment was very professional and had read not only the current form and medical evidence but the previous transfer stuff too. Obviously it's down to the decision maker but I was hoping seeing the report would be helpful . The previous claim took months for the letter from the DM to arrive and my daughters anxiety was off the scale so I was trying to get an idea of the possible outcome.
I'm just worried the info on their site is actually a new policy. I will try ringing later when hopefully someone else will answer the phone. I will post later on the outcome.

Despite what it says on their website i can assure you that you can have a copy of the assessment report before a decision is made.0

Update. Following my post earlier this month, after a number of attempts over that time I have finally managed to speak to a young lady who activated the report request quickly without claiming it was no longer possible to do so.
She said it could be five or six weeks until we receive it but may be sooner. I rang the day we had a letter to say all information was with them awaiting the DMs report so don't know if that made a difference.
So thank you poppy for your help. I was on the point of giving up but decided one more time . Once upon a time I loved The Four Seasons ,I'm afraid the long waits have ruined it for me over the years.

5 or 6 weeks to receive the report? :rotfl:it doesn't take that long, if they send it when you request it. I've received reports within 3 days of requesting them.pollyanna_26 wrote: »Update. Have you received it? If not then you need to ring them again because they most likely haven't sent it.0 -
I phoned mid afternoon on Wednesday so two days ago. She did say it may be that long but could be sooner. She was really easy to talk to and it was a quick call so as it was the first time I hadn't had the negative responses it was a relief to tick it off the to do list.
She mentioned backlogs so it's wait and see. Will let you know when it arrives.

ETA She said she was making the request as we spoke and then said ok I've made the request and then mentioned there may be a wait.It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Hmmm yes should only take days for the PIP assessment report.... make sure they know what you're talking about... I was shocked to receive a copy of my ESA50 form instead of my ESA85 medical assessment report because an agent was clueless."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0

Hi, i phoned for a copy my report and was sent one.
Then a week or so later i was sent another one with the official letter saying here's your AP Report.
Hope this and the other replies help0 -
:mad:TBH after a number of attempts to get someone who wasn't saying the reports
were no longer available until after we had received the letter from the DM and pointing me to that on on both the DWP and IAS sites . It was a relief to get someone who didn't argue or mention a problem re obtaining a copy of the report.
I just started by giving the date and site of the f to f assessment and 10 mins later she said she'd forwarded the request . I could hear her typing as we were talking. I'll just have to wait and see , I will brave Vivaldi once more if the delay is long. Oh for the days of paper based DLA and medical evidence being enough. Sadly that ship has sailed.
Time for bed said Zebedee.
ETA Thank you Micky2phones . That sounds hopeful.

I have no idea where that horrible red faced Emoji came from! It was late and I was tired when I wrote my previous post but I'm sure I didn't go over to the right hand side and click on it.
Just worried someone may think it's aimed at them , I dislike that emoji so don't use it.
