RingGo problems led to PCN

Hello, can I have urgent advice please? I park regularly using RingGo and a while ago I parked in Nottingham at about 8:30 on a Tuesday morning where the charge was for exactly 24 hours. I had to park on Wednesday in the same car park but as I was a couple of hours earlier than Tuesday as I was catching a train at about 6:45 to Manchester my 'current session' was still active and the app wouldn't let me pay. I had no change, didn't normally need it, so got to my train to Manchester. I left my phone in my case and 2 of the 4 carriages leaving Nottingham were cancelled, I offered my seat to an elderly lady and couldn't get anywhere near my case until virtually at Manchester. By the time I was able to pay I fear I'd been given the PCN. I tried to pay before leaving the car park, on boarding the train and paid as soon as I could. The app would not let me pay and since then the car park now tells you it's 24 hours cover but it's only 20. Should I appeal?

That's 3 times you've posted in 5 minutes. People can't react that quickly.
This would be better off posted in the Parking tickets board above this one.
It is also not urgent. Not in the slightest so stop panicking.
Edit to say you've posted on the parking tickets board before so should have an idea where it is!0 -

Everyone is asked to read up on this in the newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum before starting a new thread
Go there now to get an understanding of the game you are now caught up in and how to deal with this
Delete 2 of your 3 identical posts
Then edit the remaining post to remove details of who was driving ,(throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving)
If you have used your real name to make up your forum name then get mse to change it to something anonymous
The ppcs monitor this forum and can use posts in your thread against you0 -
You don't need "Urgent" advice - You need to take a deep breath and read the newbies sticky carefully whilst waiting for any NTD/NTK to arrive, then take it carefully, step by step from there.0

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Posted from my phone. I tried editing, it wouldn't let me. I reposted after editing, I noted another error, tried editing, it wouldn't let me. I reposted corrected version, couldn't delete others. I have 12 days to lodge appeal. I consider that to be urgent.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.0 -
For the record, I looked for Parking Tickets... and posted it there. This was issued in October last year and has been sent to the debtors court where I have been given 14 days to lodge an appeal, starting last Saturday. I consider this to be urgent. If you can answer, please do. If all you want to do is criticise, please don't - it's not helping anyone. I have now been able to edit and remove unwanted additional posts. I had no time until now to do this properly. Sometimes patience and understanding are very effective.
Thank you0 -
You already had a reply on your last thread where you told us this is a Council PCN, which we don't have many experienced advisers for but pepipoo forum does.
This was the reply you already had, so you need to Google & register on pepipoo:POPLA don't deal with council tickets. For the best advice go to the Pepipoo forum (google it). They have a specialist council section.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Where and what is the 'sub board' as I can't find my post anymore? I honestly expected this site to be useful and supportive but so far I've found it to be far from supportive! Full of experts throwing their opinion, giving their instructions. Not one word of support or even a clue as to what to do next. Thanks though.0

This is not a scam, it's a legitimate council parking ticket. Not a private company!0
