International bank account

Hello everyone- I have friends in China who want to buy property in the U.K. They’d also like a U.K. bank account if possible, I’ve done some research and they don’t qualify for most of the international accounts offered by Barclays/Lloyd’s etc. So I was just wondering if anyone knows how we can get them set up with an account in the U.K.- currently I’m thinking it might be better to get a business account?

Without them coming over to the UK with all the paperwork it ain't going to happen.
With a business account they still need to be in the UK (if as you say they are unable to open an International account).

They could try HSBC or Bank of China, both of whom operate in both countries.

What do you mean by 'international accounts offered by Barclays/Lloyd’s etc' and why don't your friends qualify? Do they have a UK residential address yet? Any particular purpose for an account?
