It happened before the new push payment protection came in, but I do wonder if a scam like this would be covered moving forward. Faster payments can essentially be reversed now, at least for the banks that signed up to it.

I'd probably complain about the incorrect information, it won't get you your money back as having the correct information would only have saved you time trying to deal with the bank. It's gotta be worth £100 though.
