Monzo bank - chargeback/mislead

What an idiot - me, I mean. I even remember reading that 'PS' about having sold the car for spares!0

You cannot do a chargeback on a faster payment and it almost defies belief that the bank would have told you that you could.
A faster payment cannot be recalled either and once again it almost defies belief that the bank said it could or attempted it under these circumstances.
Your only possible recourse here is to start legal action against the seller. Good luck.
It happened before the new push payment protection came in, but I do wonder if a scam like this would be covered moving forward. Faster payments can essentially be reversed now, at least for the banks that signed up to it.

I'd probably complain about the incorrect information, it won't get you your money back as having the correct information would only have saved you time trying to deal with the bank. It's gotta be worth £100 though.0
