I don't think you owe them much in the way of loyalty if they are paying you so little (yes, I appreciate it's min wage for young people. I still think it's somewhat exploitative. But you will really benefit from the money when you go up to uni.)
I do take the point about 50 hours a week. There's a positive side, though - less time to be tempted to spend your precious uni money!
Except the company could then just decline to honour the holidays if the OP springs it on them after starting. Better to be upfront so everyone knows where they stand, I'd have thought. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

OK, that makes things a bit simpler then....
5th August is bank holiday in Scotland, so Google had it right. Depends where the OP lives.0 -
If this was a full time job, I would tell you to run for the hills.
As this is just for a month or two, I would go for it. Everything is worth a go for a short while to build your experience. If you hate it - just give a week's notice and leave.
Personally I would tell them about the holidays now.0 -
they loved me but about an hour after leaving, they rung me to say I hadn’t got the job, however they want me to work in a different department. I agreed and went to another interview for that job. Turns out it is in a completely different department than what they said on the phone, in fact it is the only department I specifically told them I want to avoid. The gave me the job on the spot in the interview! It’s 50 hours a week, 5 days a week and £6.20 an hour (I’m 20). I pretended to be happy as I was too scared to decline.
They didn't 'love you' if within an hour they told you you hadn't got the job and then flogged you something you said you didn't want.
Scared of what, for goodness sake?
E-mail and say that on reflection you would prefer not to proceed with your application, as the job offered is not what you wish to do. Don't faff around with all these complex lies and machinations about holidays etc.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -
I didn’t apply for the job, I applied for a different job which had perfect hours to work around uni, and the location is right next to the uni0

I would tell them what you want
If they know you will not be available for 50hrs when you start UNI chances are this is them needing someone quick for the holidays, perhaps the cover they did use have all gone home/away for the summer.
depends if you want any of the work on the table0 -

But you didn't get it, so no point going ahead with this one.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -

Sorry, I obviously wasn't clear. My Cunning Plan was: (it assumes a week's notice)
Tell them about holiday 1 only, and start work on the basis this holiday is agreed. Work until holiday 1, by which time you should have accrued enough leave for holiday 1 to be (at least 90%) paid leave.
Return to work, and tell them about holiday 2. If holiday 2 is NOT agreed, issue a week's notice the week before hol 2.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

Max accrued holiday around 1.4 weeks(7 days)
in that time they are taking 3 holidays.
if more than 7 days total they accrue less holiday.0
