Yeah, I've been aware since this happened in 2015. I generally avoid places like this now. The annoying thing with this example is that I rang the restaurant up after getting the charge to explain that I'd eaten there and just not seen the signs and they couldn't care less. They said that it was the parking company's issue to deal with and that they had no mechanism to intervene.

To eventually update this thread, VCS withdrew their claim in October last year (attached file). Thanks for all the help in writing my defence. 

I assume that this claim can't be resurrected now? Or could VCS start the same process over again in the near future?
