Tenant compensation for unsecuring deposit

Is there a DIY way to claim against the landlord for not securing deposit ? I can only find no win no fee sites which I would rather avoid.

Adrian that's wrong sorry it's a part 8 claim not a part 7 under CPR and as such is started under part 8 procedure0 -

It's pretty much the same as any MCOL , best to let LL know you'd be surprised how helpful they are when given the facts0

The part 8 process and rules are some what different to a part 7.0 -
I'm not sure what part 7/8 you are talking about.. it's pretty straight forward..it's either in a scheme or it isn't0
