Advise please thinking of ditching landline/broadband for mobile at home.

As the title says we are contemplating ditching our Plusnet Fibre and landline for an enhanced contract with 3 as a mobile hotspot to included unlimited data and calls, as we don't use the landline and already have 3 for our mobile.
Not bothered about negatives on smart tv/pvr as long as the guide on both still up dates, but thinking of Nest/Hive or similar for central Heating/Boiler?Water controls and Alexa.
Views/comments/pitfalls will be gratefully received.

I don't see there is any problem if you get decent speed from three.
