As my dear old Dad used to say “The banks will give you an umbrella and take it away when it starts to rain’

This is so true, a banks whole reason for being, is to make money for its shareholders, they look on everyone as a potential income sourse, but are renound for offering money when you don`t need it, and refusing to help when you do, corruption and illegal practices are rife within the banking industry, most people would never believe it, but its a fact.

Do you really think you affected the people at the top? It will be the staff who work in branches who lost their jobs when the branches closed. Then there are the people without cars who will not be able to get to a branch easily as their local one closed.

And you don't lose sleep over that? However you see it you will have been involved in people losing their jobs as when banks don;t make profits the ones at the top make sure they are ok.

Read some stories on here about the problems people have when they lose their jobs and say you don't lose sleep over the distress you helped to cause. And I have been clear to say helped to cause before you come on saying it is nothing to do with you.

Well said. OP has the worst attitude I have ever seen on this forum.

Well said. OP has the worst attitude I have ever seen on this forum.

We are not here to judge but if put in a corner, I'd guess the OP will either be homeless or a multi-millionaire in a few years. Debt are numbers on a computer somewhere. The cost of debt is priced into commercial transactions either in the profit margin or in the insurance cost.

The 6 year limit is there to allow both debtor and creditor to move on without recourse to going over old ground.

@HonmaDP come back in a few years and let us know how you've got on.
Unlike some here, I am not omniscient. If I am wrong correct me. I won't take offence.

The problem is, the cost of bad debt such as this from people who have no intention of paying then gets passed on to the rest of us - including those who have debt which may not be there fault and which they are desperately trying to clear. My feeling is that this is not the right place for someone who basically is only posting either a) when they want some free advice or b) when they want to rub everyone else's noses in the fact that they are persistently simply not bothering to pay.
